Welcome to my World
My name is Saulander Evans and I am… who? Well that is a
good question now isn’t it? Who am I and what do I do? At one point in my life, I was
a pharmaceutical research chemist, at another point I was the owner of a small CPA firm
that specialized in helping the smaller business owners of the Hampton Roads area of Virginia
compete with their larger competitors, and later the financial controller of a
not-for-profit organization in Rockville MD. Although I still hold my certification, I do
not practice accounting anymore with the exception of all my various business ventures.
I’m simply too busy these days to delve into other people’s financial records.
What does that leave me to tell you about myself? Well, that is simple enough to answer.
I’m a full time writer, editor, and business owner.
My writing passion lies with Epic Fantasy novels, the
first of which, Choices Born of Prophesy, hit
bookstores on September 12, 2006. I’ve completed two other novels in this series,
Dueling Whites scheduled for publication on April 1, 2007 and
another, which (Gods willing) will follow in a reasonable period.
I anticipate four other novels
in the series before I move on to my next Fantasy series. I feel fortunate that Sandrilyn
Publications saw my unique vision that is the basis of my books, and realize that they
might just have the next J.K. Rowling on their roster, or so they say. Besides working on
the fourth book in this series, I’m also writing a Thriller about a serial killer,
and a book about a girl who channels spirits (fiction or nonfiction, the reader will have
to decide for themselves).
Because brevity is not my best suit, novel writing is my medium
of choice. However, I spent the last year writing in various genres and formats, and have
since published many of my poems, flash pieces, and short stories with myriad online and
print publications. My list of publishing credits, are in the Writer’s
Gallery, if you care to look. I strive to keep them
up to date, but at times I might run behind in that respect.
In 2005, I began freelance editing, and have since opened my own
editing firm, Red-Line Editing Services,
that offers a wide variety of manuscript critique and editing services to meet most any
author’s needs. I have a large staff of editors, whose areas of specialty run the
gamut across all genres, including bilingual editors and screenplay specialists. I sure
